Motivation is a feeling. Discipline is a decision.</p><p>So I make a deal with myself. Just do one thing. One exercise. I complete some kind of routine. It may not be my best effort, but it&#8217;s always more than one exercise, and certainly more than if I hadn&#8217;t gone at all.</p><p>That&#8217;s the secret nobody tells you: you don&#8217;t need to feel ready. You need to start. Routine carries you where motivation can&#8217;t, and small actions build their own momentum.</p><p>The hardest part is showing up. Once you&#8217;re there, the rest tends to take care of itself. You won&#8217;t always feel strong or eager, and that&#8217;s fine &#8212; you don&#8217;t have to. So lower the bar. Make the deal with yourself. What started as curiosity became a career, a community, and a way to help more women feel seen, supported and less intimidated in cycling.<br><br>In this episode, we talk about Jessica&#8217;s move from government work into mountain biking, building women&#8217;s cycling spaces, creating honest content, learning in public, and discovering Zwift through postpartum recovery. We also dive into the nerves of entering her first Zwift race, the pressure women creators can face around credibility, appearance and visibility, and why there is still so much opportunity for more women to tell their stories in virtual cycling.<br><br>Jessica&#8217;s message is simple: stop waiting until you feel ready.
